Days visiting Cairo & Upper Egypt with Nile Cruise

1 st Day - Friday - Kennedy/Cairo:
Departure fron New York City tonight to Cairo. Aboard you will enjoy the best
in-flight service and meals.
2nd Day - Saturday - Cairo:
Arrival in Eternal Egypt today, you will be met and escorted to your hotel.
3rd Day - Sunday - The Egyptian Museum and Pyramids:
Your first visit this morning is the Egyptian Museum, the greates of its kind
in the world. It houses monuments dating back 5000 years. After the museum
you will visit the famous Pyramids and Great Sphinx in Gize. The Pyramids
stand as a tertimony to the ancients' belief in the immortality of the soul.
The Great Sphinx is a gigantic strange limestone beast with a lion's body
and the head of a human.
4th Day - Monday - The Old City:
This morning a tour of the old city of Cairo will include visits to Saladin
Citadel, Gawhara Palace of Mohammed Ali (the great grandfather of late King
Farouk), Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, the Azhar Mosque considered one of the
oldest universities in the world, and the famous Bazaars of Khan El Khalili.
Visits will also be made to the Abu Serga Coptic Church built over the cave
where the Holy Family took refuge and to Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest jewish
temple in Egypt.
5th Day - Tuesday - Cairo/Luxor:
Early morning transfer to Cairo airport in time for your flight to Upper Egypt.
In Luxor, you will be met and escorted to your Sheraton cruise boat for a fabulous
five day cruise. After lunch visitis will be made to the Temples of Karnak and
Luxor (18th dynasty). Overnight in Luxor.
6th Day - Wednesday - Thebes:
Sightseeing includes Thebes's Necropolis, The Valley of the Kings and The Tomb
of Tutankhamon, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir-El-Bahari, The Romantic
Valley of The Nobles, The Valley of the Queens, The Temple of Medinet Habu and
the famed Colossi of Memmon Facing the Nile. Overnight in Luxor.
7th Day - Thursday - Luxor/Edfu:
Morning sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus (237 B.C.) the most complete
example of an Egyptian temple in existence. Overnight in Edfu.
8th Day - Friday - Edfu/Kom Ombo/Aswan:
Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the Ptolemic Temple of Kom Ombo, offering beautiful
murals and a magnificent view of the Nile. Continue to Aswan and visit the botanical
island or the Nubean village and the Mausoleum of Agha Khan by "feluccas"
(small sailing boats). Overnight in Aswan.
9th Day - Saturday - Aswan/Cairo:
Today you will visit the Temple of Philae, the High Dam, and the unfinished
Obelisk. Disembark and transfer to Aswan airport in time for your flight to
Cairo. Once in Cairo, a host wil be on hand to escort you to your hotel.
10th Day - Saturday - Cairo/Kennedy:
Take a farewell look at the fascinating city of Cairo as you are driven to the
airport in time for your return flight, arriving New York in the early afternoon.
